Why sandals?

Well, I love to crochet sandals from flip-flops... Why? I guess they remind me those days at the beach in Central America. The burning sun and the smell of sea.
I remember me and my friends always wondering why confortables flips-flops can't be cute, like super cute, you know? So I decided to do it my own way.
If you are a crochetter you'll understand me.
The most difficult part is remembering the pattern that I follow inthe first flip-flop, since I am unable to follow a pattern. I always take my own path. So, I really have to write it down or do both of them the same day.
My best advice is to buy a good quality of thread. Here in Canada we have a special wool for slippers, kind of synthetic, but strong to walk on them, and stain-proof. Those are the best. Never, ever, buy baby wool. Too soft and delicate.
